### Warriors Coach Steve Kerr Takes a Jab at Trump's Election Victory
Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr did not hold back in expressing his opinion following Donald Trump's recent election victory, delivering a mix of sarcasm and critique during a press interview. Trump emerged victorious in a historic sweep of battleground states this week, securing a second term in the White House.
Kerr, known for his vocal support of Democratic candidates and causes, wasted no time in mocking Trump’s win. Reflecting on the results, he said, "I believe in democracy. I think the American people have spoken and voted for Trump. I want him to do well the next four years. I want our country to do well." However, Kerr's comments soon turned pointedly sarcastic as he addressed the subject of voter fraud.
The Warriors coach, speaking after a game against the Boston Celtics, humorously remarked, "I'm just thankful there wasn't any voting fraud this time. Last time, all those illegal immigrants who crashed the border, raped and murdered people and then voted six times, that was unfortunate." Kerr's sarcastic tone was evident as he continued, "But thankfully this time everything was clean. It's great that every election has been really valid except for that last one four years ago. Twinkle in my eye as I say that, in case you couldn't see it."
Kerr's jibe was a clear reference to Trump's baseless claims of widespread voter fraud in the 2020 election when he accused Democrats of cheating despite lack of evidence. Contrastingly, after Trump's win this week, the president-elect has refrained from repeating any voter fraud accusations related to the 2024 election, despite earlier insinuations that such issues could arise.
In August, Kerr had also made an appearance at the Democratic National Convention, championing Vice President Kamala Harris and her policies, and voicing strong support for her bid for the White House. Known for his criticism of Trump, Kerr has repeatedly denounced the former president's propagation of misleading election claims.
In essence, Kerr's commentary underscored his continued disapproval of Trump's tactics and rhetoric, reaffirming his stance on maintaining the integrity of democratic processes.
