### Clemson Coach Dabo Swinney Faces Voting Snag Amid Rough Week
CLEMSON, S.C. — It has been a challenging stretch for Clemson coach Dabo Swinney. Following his 19th-ranked Tigers' defeat to Louisville on Saturday night, Swinney encountered another obstacle on Tuesday when he was unable to cast his vote at his designated polling place.
Swinney, whose legal name is William, discovered that the voting system had already registered a "William Swinney" as having voted the previous week. Clarifying the situation, Swinney noted that it was his oldest son, Will, who had voted, not him. Reflecting on the mix-up, Swinney humorously remarked, "They done voted me out of the state. We're 6-2 and 5-1 [in the Atlantic Coast Conference], man. They done shipped me off."
As a result of the confusion, Dabo Swinney was required to fill out a paper ballot. There will be a hearing on Friday to address and resolve the issue.
"I was trying to do my best and be a good citizen and go vote," Swinney commented. "Sometimes doing your best ain't good enough. You have to keep going though, keep figuring it out."
Despite the setbacks, Swinney remains committed to both his civic duties and his coaching responsibilities.
