**Voting Hours Extended in Cambria County Due to Technical Glitch**

A Pennsylvania judge has granted an extension for voting hours in Cambria County until 10 p.m. ET, following a software malfunction that affected ballot scanning. This decision aims to ensure that all voters have the opportunity to cast their ballots despite the disruption.

Michael Whatley, Chairman of the Republican National Committee (RNC), has encouraged voters to remain in line and complete their voting process, assuring them that delays will not prevent their ballots from being counted. Whatley stated that the Republican Party's legal team is actively addressing the issue to maintain the election's integrity.

Cambria County Solicitor Ron Repak explained that the problem originated early in the morning, interrupting voters' ability to scan their ballots using the county's Electronic Voting System. He emphasized that voters should not be dissuaded by this hurdle, as measures have been put in place to ensure every vote is counted.

"Our priority is to accept, secure, and count all completed ballots," Repak said. "Precincts are equipped with express voting machines to facilitate electronic voting, while still accommodating hand ballots."

Following the court's order, voters casting their ballots after the original closing time at 8 p.m. ET will do so provisionally. The Pennsylvania Department of State is collaborating with local officials to rectify the scanning issue. They affirmed their commitment to a free, fair, and secure election process, ensuring that paper ballots continue to be used as normal.

In his efforts to allay voter concerns, Whatley posted on X, urging voters to stay vigilant and patient. "We understand there are delays, but it's crucial you remain in line, fill out your ballots, and ensure they are submitted. Our legal team is dedicated to guaranteeing fairness and accuracy in the voting process."

The extended voting hours aim to mitigate the impact of the technical malfunction and reassure voters that their democratic rights will be fully upheld.
