### Vivian Kubrick Endorses Trump's Use of "Full Metal Jacket" in Campaign Video

Vivian Kubrick, daughter of legendary film director Stanley Kubrick, has given her approval for former President Donald Trump to use footage from her father’s iconic film "Full Metal Jacket" in a campaign video that promotes a strong, non-woke US military. The campaign video juxtaposes scenes from the 1987 Vietnam War film with images criticizing current military policies under the Harris-Biden administration.

On social media platform X, Vivian Kubrick defended Trump’s decision, noting that while it may seem contradictory to use an anti-war film to advocate for a robust military, extreme times call for practical measures. "I agree in principle that an anti-war movie is incongruous with promoting the idea of a tough non-woke US military and thus war itself - however - these are very dangerous and strange times and thus using this footage is doubtless pure expedience," she wrote.

Vivian, who composed the movie’s score under a pseudonym and appeared briefly as an extra, believes the choice of "Full Metal Jacket" footage was deliberate and serves to highlight the essential need for a disciplined military free from woke ideologies. She claimed that her father, who supported President Ronald Reagan, would likely agree with the message. "Truthfully, I believe my father... would very much approve of saving America, indeed the world, from the highly destructive Globalist forces threatening to take over this planet," she added.

Contrary to Vivian's views, actor Matthew Modine, who starred as Private Joker in "Full Metal Jacket," expressed his disagreement. In an interview, he suggested that if Stanley Kubrick were alive today, he would likely use his talents to create a black comedy about the absurdities of modern leadership, including figures like Trump and Putin.

Trump's campaign video criticizes what he views as the demoralizing effects of "woke" policies on the military, contrasting scenes of Marine recruits training with footage of current service members participating in drag performances. One highlighted individual is Navy Yeoman 2nd Class Joshua Kelley, a non-binary digital ambassador for a recruitment initiative.

Interestingly, the video avoids showing one of the film’s more disturbing scenes, where the character played by R. Lee Ermey, a real-life Marine Corps drill instructor, is killed by a recruit driven to madness. Trump has claimed Ermey was unfairly overlooked for an Oscar due to his non-establishment background.

Vivian Kubrick also shared that her father had a nuanced view of human nature, which she believes would align with Trump’s goals of maintaining a strong, focused military. She has shown her support through a modest donation of $93.69 to Trump’s 2024 campaign, continuing her history of political donations that include backing Trump's 2020 campaign and the presidential bids of Sen. Rand Paul and Ron Paul.
