### Vice President Harris Commits to Ensuring Safety for Israel and Jewish Communities Worldwide

In a heartfelt address to Jewish supporters on Friday in observance of Yom Kippur, U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris reaffirmed her commitment to the security of Israel and Jewish people globally. She reflected on the significance of a secure democratic homeland for the Jewish people, underscoring its importance to Jews everywhere, regardless of their place of residence.

Reflecting on a tragic historical event, Harris emphasized, "I will never forget October 7, and the world must never forget. We all must work to ensure nothing like the horrors of that day can ever happen again." These memories serve as a strong reminder of the need for ongoing vigilance and collective effort to prevent future atrocities.

Addressing the current conflict, Harris expressed her ongoing dedication to ensuring the safety and security of Jewish communities both in Israel and around the globe. "We have seen so much suffering and pain over the past year, and it's time to bring the conflict to an end," she urged, highlighting the necessity of striving for peace and resolution.

In her remarks, the Vice President stressed the importance of negotiating a cease-fire and committed to relentless efforts in securing the release of all hostages, including seven American citizens. "We are not giving up on a cease-fire deal," she declared. "I will never stop fighting for the release of all the hostages, including, of course, the seven American citizens living and deceased, are still held. We are fighting for them every day."

Harris also touched on broader international security concerns, particularly related to Iran. "Make no mistake, as President, I'll never hesitate to take whatever action is necessary to defend American forces and interests from Iran and Iran-backed terrorists," she asserted. She made it clear that preventing Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon remains a top priority, noting, "Diplomacy is my preferred path, but all options are on the table."

Vice President Harris's statements underscore her unwavering dedication to the protection and well-being of Jewish people worldwide and her resolve in addressing international threats with both diplomacy and steadfast action.
