USC Student Arrested for Alleged Murder of Homeless Man near Greek Row

A 19-year-old student from the University of Southern California (USC) has been taken into custody on suspicion of murder after a homeless man was fatally stabbed near the university's Greek Row area. The incident occurred on Monday evening in the 700 block of West 28th Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).
Officers responded to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon involving a knife at approximately 8:15 p.m. The LAPD stated that the male victim had been breaking into vehicles at the scene when the suspect confronted and stabbed him.
