### Heated Clash Between Musk and Trump Administration Insider Revealed
New revelations suggest that Elon Musk's tenure with the Trump administration's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) was more turbulent than previously acknowledged. The recent departure of the Tesla CEO from his role as a Special Government Employee has prompted insiders to speak up about the discord behind the scenes.
Elon Musk announced that his specified term with DOGE, where he aimed to eliminate fraud and waste to save taxpayers $160 billion, had come to an end. However, reports suggest that the collaboration was not as flawless as the administration portrayed. In a candid interview with the DailyMail, former Trump Chief Strategist Steve Bannon disclosed a heated confrontation between Musk and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent.
The clash erupted during an argument over Musk's performance and the projected budget cuts. According to Bannon, Bessent challenged Musk, saying, "You promised us a trillion dollars (in cuts), and now you're at like $100 billion, and nobody can find anything, what are you doing?" This provocation led Musk to become physical, resulting in him shoving Bessent. The situation escalated to the point where both men were escorted out of the Oval Office, with President Donald Trump reportedly siding with Bessent.
Despite the disruption, Bannon emphasized that Bessent harbors no personal ill will but is committed to his role's responsibilities. The altercation has ignited discussions about the environment within the Trump administration, characterized by intense passion and frequent disagreements, which, according to White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, is normal for a healthy policy process.
Coinciding with his exit, Musk has openly criticized President Trump's "Big, Beautiful Bill," which the Congressional Budget Office estimates will increase the national debt by $3.8 trillion over the next decade. Musk expressed dissatisfaction with the bill, highlighting that it increases the budget deficit rather than reducing it, undermining DOGE's initiatives.
In an interview with CBS Sunday Morning, Musk remarked, "I was disappointed to see the massive spending bill, frankly, which increases the budget deficit, not just decreases it, and undermines the work that the DOGE team is doing." He further commented on the bill's scope, stating, "I think a bill can be big, or it can be beautiful, but I don't know if it can be both."
These incidents have shed light on the complexities and challenges within the Trump administration, particularly in its interactions with high-profile individuals like Musk.
