**Trump Defends Block on Foreign Students at Harvard: "Use Your $52 Million"**

In a recent social media post on TRUTH, former US President Donald Trump defended his administration's decision to halt the enrollment of international students at Harvard University. Trump highlighted the university's significant proportion of foreign students, questioning why those from countries unfriendly to the United States contribute nothing to their education costs.

Trump emphasized that his administration's request for detailed information about violent activities by non-immigrant students from Harvard is justified. He noted, "We give Harvard billions of dollars, but they aren't exactly forthcoming. We want to know who these foreign students are – a reasonable request."

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem recently revoked Harvard University's ability to enroll foreign nationals, citing the institution's failure to submit records of any violent or illegal activities by foreign students by the April 30 deadline. A federal judge has placed a temporary hold on this ban, affecting thousands of students and a significant income stream for the university.

As tensions mount, the White House has also threatened to review $9 billion of Harvard's funding and frozen an initial tranche of $2.2 billion in grants along with $60 million in official contracts. Additionally, a Harvard Medical School researcher has been targeted for deportation.

With an endowment valued at $53.2 billion in 2024, Harvard stands as the wealthiest university in the United States. Nonetheless, losing over a quarter of its student body, composed of foreign nationals, could result in substantial financial repercussions for the institution.
