### Chaos Surrounds Launch of Trump-Branded Crypto Wallet

The announcement of a Trump-branded cryptocurrency wallet has sparked confusion, as conflicting statements from the Trump family and associated businesses have muddied the waters. The marketplace Magic Eden and the team behind the memecoin Official Trump (TRUMP) announced on June 3 their collaboration to launch what they called "the Official $TRUMP Wallet."

However, nearly immediately, Donald Trump Jr. asserted that neither he nor the Trump Organization, which manages the former president's extensive real estate and business interests, were involved in the wallet project. He stated unequivocally that his family had "zero involvement with this wallet product" and that he had no knowledge of it. He revealed that the family's own crypto platform, World Liberty Financial, would be rolling out an official wallet soon.

Eric Trump echoed his brother's sentiments, cautioning Magic Eden against using the Trump name in any unauthorized projects. He emphasized that the wallet had not received approval from anyone within the Trump Organization. In an unusual move, Barron Trump made his first X post to clarify that the family was not involved with the wallet either.

Molly White, an outspoken critic of cryptocurrencies, termed the situation "absolute chaos." She suggested that there might be a lack of coordination among various crypto-related Trump businesses. Despite the turmoil, the TRUMP token team, Magic Eden, and its CEO, Jack Lu, have remained silent on the matter.

The Trump Wallet website describes the wallet as the "Official $TRUMP Wallet by President Trump" and mentions a partnership with GetTrumpMemes.com for its forthcoming launch. GetTrumpMemes.com is owned by Fight Fight Fight LLC, a firm co-owned by CIC Digital LLC, which is associated with the Trump Organization. These two companies hold a majority share of the TRUMP token supply. Bill Zanker, an American businessman, is listed on documents for Fight Fight Fight LLC and also owns a substantial amount of Trump tokens through CIC Digital. Zanker has been instrumental in launching the TRUMP memecoin and other Trump-branded NFT collections and is also working on a Monopoly-style game integrating gaming and crypto elements.

This is not the first instance of confusion surrounding Trump-linked cryptocurrency ventures. Recently, Trump Media and Technology Group, the firm behind President Trump's social media platform Truth Social, initially dismissed reports of a substantial fundraising effort to buy Bitcoin. A day later, however, the company confirmed a $2.5 billion capital raise that included a $1.5 billion stock sale and a $1 billion convertible senior secured bond offering aimed at purchasing Bitcoin.
