**Musk-Mar-a-Lago 'Blowup' Report Denied by Trump Transition Source**

A source from Donald Trump's transition team has refuted a report about a supposed altercation between Tesla CEO Elon Musk and Boris Epshteyn, a special assistant during Trump's first term. Axios recently reported that Musk, who was appointed as co-head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), had a significant disagreement with Epshteyn during a dinner at Trump's Florida estate, Mar-a-Lago. The outlet claimed that the tension boiled over into a "massive blowup" involving accusations that Epshteyn had leaked information to the media.

Contradicting this narrative, a member of the transition team dismissed the story as entirely fictitious. "Individuals familiar with Elon and Boris declare that the story is complete nonsense, consistent with Axios’s reputation. The two have been collaborating effectively to support President Trump in his mission to Make America Great Again," the source stated.

Axios's report alleged that Musk had expressed frustration over Epshteyn’s substantial influence, notably objecting to the selection of Matt Gaetz as attorney general, a decision reportedly swayed by Epshteyn. According to the same report, Epshteyn also played an instrumental role in the appointments of William McGinley as White House counsel and Todd Blanche and Emil Bove to senior positions in the Justice Department.

Additionally, Axios sources claimed Musk has leveraged his charm to build relationships with influential figures like Tucker Carlson, Vice President-elect JD Vance, and members of Trump's family, including Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump, and 17-year-old granddaughter Kai Trump. However, this close association with Trump has reportedly irked longtime Trump associates who are not pleased with Musk's frequent presence at both Mar-a-Lago and on Trump Force One.

The real measure of Musk’s influence will be evident when President-elect Trump announces his nominee for Treasury Secretary. Howard Lutnick, who was initially the frontrunner for the post, appears to have fallen out of favor, leading Musk to publicly back Lutnick for the position.
