**Trump Criticizes Bruce Springsteen Over Kamala Harris Endorsement**

Former President Donald Trump has accused singer-songwriter Bruce Springsteen of forsaking his "working class persona" by supporting Vice President Kamala Harris. This accusation came ahead of Springsteen's appearance at a Harris-Walz campaign event in Georgia on October 24. In a statement released on his website, Trump described Springsteen's involvement as part of a "desperate, last-ditch effort to salvage her spiraling campaign."

Trump's statement included a strong criticism of Springsteen's endorsement, labeling it as a "betrayal" to the working-class image the musician has often portrayed. During the campaign event in Clarkston, where he joined former President Barack Obama, Springsteen performed acoustic renditions of his songs "The Promised Land," "Land of Hope and Dreams," and "Dancing' In the Dark." Addressing the crowd, Springsteen expressed his support for Harris and Tim Walz, stating his desire for a president who honors the Constitution, respects the rule of law, and aims to build a middle-class economy serving all citizens.

Springsteen emphasized that Harris is running to be "the 47th president of the United States," while he accused Trump of running to be "an American tyrant." Earlier in October, Springsteen also posted an endorsement video on Instagram, in which he criticized Trump as "dangerous" and lacking an understanding of America's values and history. Trump's statement countered by highlighting the support he received from voters in Springsteen's native Monmouth County, New Jersey, where Trump outperformed Joe Biden in the 2020 election.

Despite New Jersey being a predominantly Democrat state, Trump pointed to his voter support in Monmouth County and Colts Neck, where he received 191,808 votes compared to Biden's 181,291, and nearly doubled Biden's votes in Colts Neck with 4,451 to 2,309. Trump's statement further criticized the Democratic Party for allegedly enriching themselves at the expense of American workers through unfair trade practices, environmental regulations, and policies on illegal immigration.

Vice President Harris has previously condemned Trump's approach to working-class voters. During a rally in Michigan, she cited Trump's record as disastrous for working people and referred to him as an existential threat to America's labor movement. Currently, Harris's campaign efforts are concentrated on mobilizing working-class voters in key states such as Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.
