### Trump Suggests Violent Punishment for Liz Cheney, Harris Condemns Rhetoric

With just four days remaining in the campaign season, tensions have escalated as former President Donald Trump lashes out at Liz Cheney, who is supporting Vice President Kamala Harris. During a rally in Arizona on Thursday night, Trump labeled Cheney a "war hawk" and implied she deserved to face "nine barrels," which appeared to suggest a firing squad.

Trump and Harris are focusing their final efforts in the critical Midwest region, both holding dueling rallies in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Friday. Trump's criticism of Cheney aligns with his campaign's stance on her views regarding U.S. military involvement. Trump reiterated his point on social media, describing Cheney as not having "the guts" to fight herself while supporting military action from afar.

Responding to Trump's remarks, Harris condemned the violent language, stating that it should be disqualifying for anyone seeking the presidency. "Representative Cheney is a true patriot who has shown extraordinary courage in putting country above party," Harris remarked. She further criticized Trump as someone increasingly vindictive and unstable.

The U.S. Capitol Police Union has called for stringent preparations ahead of Election Day, reflecting on the violent events of January 6, 2021. More than 140 officers were injured during the attack on the U.S. Capitol, with subsequent tragic consequences for the force. Union chairman Gus Papathanasiou emphasized the need for a vigilant and coordinated approach to ensure a safe election process.

Trump's campaign has attempted to mitigate the fallout from his inflammatory remarks about Cheney. Spokesperson Karoline Leavitt argued that Trump's comments were taken out of context, insisting that he was critiquing "warmongers" like Cheney who advocate for war without facing combat themselves. A clip was shared, showcasing Trump suggesting a hypothetical scenario to illustrate his point.

As the campaign approaches its final stretch, the rhetoric and political divisions continue to intensify, with both sides preparing for the critical decisions ahead.
