In a nearly three-hour interview with podcast host Joe Rogan on Friday, former President Donald Trump echoed a barrage of inaccuracies — at least 32 false statements by count. The topics ranged widely, hitting on immigration policies, energy and environmental issues, the 2020 election, and even crowd sizes at his events.

One of Trump's frequently repeated falsehoods involved immigration. He claimed that 13,099 murderers had been dropped into the United States over the past three years. In reality, this number represents immigrants with homicide convictions who entered the country over several decades, including during Trump's own administration.

Trump also exaggerated his achievements regarding the border wall, asserting that he had built 570 miles of it. However, official records indicate that his administration only constructed 458 miles of wall, including new barriers and replacements for old ones.

Another recurring false claim from Trump was regarding Vice President Kamala Harris and her role in handling border security. Trump stated that Harris was in charge of the border, a role actually held by Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. In truth, President Biden tasked Harris with leading diplomatic efforts with Central American countries to address the root causes of migration.

The former president made outlandish claims about the number of migrants crossing the border under the Biden administration, suggesting at least 21 million had done so. However, actual figures show considerably fewer crossings, with fewer than 11 million encounters recorded.

Trump continued to insist he won the 2020 election, despite clear results showing he lost to Joe Biden by a significant margin in both the Electoral College and popular vote. He labeled the election as "crooked" and filled with cheating, accusations that remain unsubstantiated.

The interview also included several other inaccuracies, such as Trump's claim about grocery store identification requirements and the effective defeat of ISIS "in a matter of weeks" during his presidency — although the ISIS caliphate wasn't fully liberated until more than two years into his term.

Significantly, Trump discussed the issue of tariffs, falsely claiming that previous presidents did not impose any on Chinese imports. Historical records indicate that the U.S. has had tariffs on Chinese goods since 1789, and Trump's predecessor, Barack Obama, also implemented additional tariffs.

Regarding climate change, Trump belittled the threat by stating that oceans would rise "one-eighth of an inch over the next 500 years," a claim that sharply contrasts with NASA's data reporting a much faster annual rise in sea levels.

These statements and more reflect the pattern of false claims that Trump continues to propagate, with his latest bout delivered in a marathon conversation with Joe Rogan just over a week before Election Day.
