**Trump Calls America a "Garbage Can for the World" in Criticism of Immigration Policies**

In a fiery address in Arizona on Thursday, Donald Trump passionately criticized America's current immigration policies, painting a bleak picture of the nation's future under continued illegal immigration influx. As the 2024 presidential election heats up, Trump appears to use fear over immigration as a key strategy in his bid to return to the White House.

Addressing supporters at events in both Arizona and Nevada, Trump launched into scathing reviews of the Biden administration's approach to immigration. He depicted towns across the country as under siege, claiming they had been "invaded and conquered" by illegal immigrants. His rhetoric intensifies his longstanding narrative of a nation under threat, contrasting sharply with Vice President Kamala Harris’s optimistic vision for the country, which echoes the hopeful tone of former President Barack Obama.

At a rally in Las Vegas, Nevada, Trump declared, "I will rescue every town in America that has been invaded and conquered." He suggested that many towns were experiencing conditions worse than Aurora, Colorado, a city he previously described as a "war zone" overtaken by Venezuelan gangs. Trump asserted: "We have many towns that are in the same position and worse but they don't want to talk about it, it's out of control."

The former president extended his concerns to potential future impacts on other towns, cautioning, "We have a lot of towns that haven't yet been infected, but they're petrified that they will be. And they will be." Trump's proposed solution includes a swift and decisive action against what he labeled as "vicious and bloodthirsty criminals," emphasizing his intention to either imprison them or expel them from the country.

Speaking earlier at Arizona State University in Tempe, Trump specified the breadth of the immigration issue: "A lot of people coming out of the Congo. Not just South America, they're coming from 181 countries as of yesterday. We're a dumping ground." He controversially referred to America as a "garbage can for the world," a sentiment he claimed he had never articulated before but deemed highly accurate.

Trump did not hold back in criticizing his political opponents. He blasted Vice President Kamala Harris for her "gross incompetence" in addressing illegal immigration and also targeted several Democratic leaders. He described President Joe Biden as a "stupid fool," labeled California Governor Gavin Newsom as "the worst," and accused Colorado Governor Jared Polis of being too "petrified" to confront immigrant gangs.

With the elections looming, the race remains tight in these key swing states. Trump holds a slight lead in Arizona, while Harris leads narrowly in Nevada. Harris, however, maintains that her administration is making strides toward a "broken" immigration system, noting recent reductions in illegal immigrant numbers and promising that "solutions are at hand."
