**Trump's Iran Stance Revealed Amidst Unconfirmed Meeting Reports**

Questions are swirling around the potential covert meeting held by President-elect Trump, alongside national security concerns following the revelation that key figures in his administration are likely uninformed about the said gathering. This comes with Trump’s national security team comprising prominent Iran skeptics like Mike Waltz and Marco Rubio, both of whom advocate for a stringent US policy towards Iran.

Steven Cheung, a spokesperson for Trump, stated, "We do not comment on reports of private meetings that did or did not occur." This statement leaves many wondering about the transparency and communication strategy within Trump’s circle during this transitional phase.

Trump’s history with Iran is contentious. During his initial term as President, he withdrew the United States from the Iran nuclear agreement arranged in 2015 under Barack Obama. He further reinstated tough economic sanctions, greatly limiting US corporate engagements with Iran. Notably, Trump ordered the 2020 airstrike that resulted in the death of Iranian military leader Qasem Soleimani.

A staunch supporter of Israel, Trump’s foreign policy often mirrored Israeli interests, especially evident after the October 7 attack by Hamas last year, deepening the hostilities between Israel and Iran-supported groups like Hamas and Hezbollah.

Additionally, Trump has been actively involved in Ukraine, engaging in discussions with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Through his collaboration with tech magnate Elon Musk, Trump has facilitated vital communication channels for Ukraine's military via the Starlink satellite internet system provided by Musk’s company.
