### Trump Warns BRICS Countries Against New Currency Plans
WASHINGTON - President-elect Donald Trump issued a stark warning to BRICS member nations on Saturday, demanding that they forgo any plans to create a new currency or support any currency that could supplant the U.S. dollar. Trump cautioned that failure to comply would result in severe economic repercussions, including a 100% tariff on goods entering the United States.
Trump's declaration was made public through his social media platform, Truth Social, where he expressed his firm stance on maintaining the dominance of the U.S. dollar in international trade. "We require a commitment from these Countries that they will neither create a new BRICS Currency, nor back any other Currency to replace the mighty U.S. Dollar," Trump wrote. "If they do not, they will face 100% Tariffs, and should expect to say goodbye to selling into the wonderful U.S. Economy."
The President-elect's message was clear: BRICS nations, which include Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, should abandon any aspirations that could challenge the status of the U.S. dollar. He emphasized the importance of the dollar's role and dismissed the possibility of it being replaced in international markets. "They can go find another 'sucker'," Trump asserted. "There is no chance that the BRICS will replace the U.S. Dollar in International Trade, and any Country that tries should wave goodbye to America."
Trump's strong rhetoric underscores the potential for escalating economic tensions with these influential economies as he prepares to take office. The President-elect's firm stance indicates a significant policy direction aimed at protecting and prioritizing American economic interests on the global stage.
