### Trump Projected to Win Presidency as Republicans Secure Senate Control
In a closely watched and highly contested election, Donald Trump is projected to win the Presidency by securing 292 out of 538 electoral college votes. Vice President Harris has garnered 224 electoral college votes in her bid.
The results extend beyond the presidency, affecting the balance of power in the Senate. Republicans are set to take control with 52 seats out of the 100-seat Senate. Of these, 38 Republican seats were not up for election this year, which significantly contributed to their majority. The Democratic Party holds 42 seats in the Senate, with 28 of these seats also not being contested in this election cycle.
In the House of Representatives, the distribution of seats shows a narrower gap. Republicans currently hold 200 out of 435 seats, while Democrats now occupy 180 seats in the House. This shift in power across both chambers of Congress will likely influence the legislative agenda in the coming years.
