In his first remarks addressing the incident in Boulder, Colorado, President Donald Trump vehemently condemned the assault on pro-Israel demonstrators. He stressed that such attacks "will not be tolerated" in the United States and highlighted the suspect's illegal immigration status.

"Yesterday's horrific attack in Boulder, Colorado, WILL NOT BE TOLERATED in the United States of America," Trump stated on his conservative social media platform. He vowed that acts of terrorism would be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, emphasizing the importance of secure borders and deporting those he described as "Illegal, Anti-American Radicals." He extended his sympathies to the victims and the "Great People of Boulder, Colorado."

On Sunday, eight people were injured during what the FBI has labeled an "act of terror." The Boulder Police Department is still investigating the attack's motive. The suspect, Mohamed Sabry Soliman, reportedly shouted "Free Palestine" and attacked demonstrators with a "makeshift flamethrower." Soliman has since been charged with a federal hate crime.

According to the Department of Homeland Security, Soliman was in the U.S. illegally. He had entered the country with a B2 visa in August 2022 and applied for asylum in September of the same year. His tourist visa expired in February 2023, and although he received a work permit, it expired on March 28, making his stay in the country illegal since then.

Trump criticized the previous administration for Soliman's immigration status, pointing fingers at former President Joe Biden's policies. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt supported Trump's stance, denouncing the former administration for granting Soliman a tourist visa and affirming that such individuals would be deported to prevent similar acts of violence.

Attorney General Pam Bondi reinforced the administration's stance, condemning the attack as a "vile anti-Semitic violence" and ensuring that the Department of Justice would hold the attacker accountable. She assured the public that federal hate crime charges had been filed and extended prayers to the victims and the global Jewish community.
