In a fresh clash between former President Donald Trump's campaign and Fox News, the network's latest polling results revealing Vice President Kamala Harris leading in several key battleground states have sparked criticism from the Trump team. On Thursday, the campaign issued a statement denouncing the "atrocious polling" released by Fox, asserting that Trump's performance surpassed previous cycles.

According to the statement, Fox's poll indicated that President Trump is currently leading by 10 points in Arizona compared to his standing at this point in 2020. Similarly, he is reported to be running 8 points ahead of his 2020 polling numbers in Nevada, and 5 points ahead in North Carolina. These figures indicate a stronger performance than what was initially projected.

The statement was a direct response to a poll released on Wednesday, which showed Vice President Harris leading in three out of the four key Sun Belt states—Arizona, Georgia, and Nevada—with an overall lead of 1 point. This marks a significant shift as previous Fox News polls had President Joe Biden trailing Trump in all four states during head-to-head match-ups.

The ongoing feud between Trump and Fox News has been a consistent feature of his political career, with the former president often criticizing the outlet's coverage of him. Interestingly, Trump has also made regular appearances on the network for interviews with their prominent hosts and pundits.

Tensions escalated between Trump and Fox News during election night in 2020, when the network made an early call declaring Biden the winner in Arizona. This decision prompted vocal complaints from Trump's allies, who directly conveyed their discontent to Fox's senior leadership.

Notably, Trump has proposed a debate with Vice President Harris on Fox News. However, the Harris campaign has not accepted the offer. Instead, the two candidates are scheduled to face off in a debate moderated by ABC News on September 10.

As the election draws nearer, the differing poll results and the Trump campaign's criticism highlight the intense competition within key battleground states. With Vice President Harris gaining ground, the race for these pivotal regions is set to become even more heated in the coming months.
