In an exclusive letter obtained by Fox News Digital, the Trump campaign has urged for additional 2024 presidential debates to be scheduled "much earlier" than proposed by the debate commission. Former President Trump expressed his commitment to debate President Biden "anytime, anywhere, anyplace."

The co-campaign managers, Susie Wiles and Chris LaCivita, wrote to the Commission on Presidential Debates, expressing their agreement with a pending letter from television networks advocating for earlier debates in 2024. They argued that with voting starting earlier and earlier, as seen in the 2020 election, millions of Americans had already voted by the time of the first debate.

The Trump campaign highlighted concerns regarding the proposed 2024 debate calendar, stating that it comes too late, with estimates that over 1 million Americans would have likely voted by the date of the first proposed debate on September 16, 2024. By the second proposed debate on October 1, 2024, this number could increase to over 3 million, and by the third proposed debate on October 9, approximately 8.7 million Americans may have already cast their ballots.

Referring to the 2020 debates, the Trump campaign criticized the commission for hosting only two debates that took place "much too late in the election calendar" despite the advancing voting timelines. In an exclusive interview, Trump emphasized the importance of having debates now, as he listed various pressing issues such as the crisis at the southern border, national security, America's standing on the world stage, rising crime, and the economy.

Trump expressed his willingness to debate Biden on these crucial matters, stating that he would accept a debate "anytime, anywhere, anyplace." When asked if he thought Biden would commit to a debate, Trump responded that it didn't matter to him, emphasizing his own commitment.

The Trump campaign urged the debate commission to revise the 2024 debate schedule, calling for an earlier timetable to ensure more Americans have the opportunity to see the candidates before casting their votes. They also recommended adding more debates to the currently proposed schedule, emphasizing the need for fairness and impartiality.

While Biden and his campaign have not yet committed to debates against Trump, Biden previously indicated that it would depend on Trump's behavior. The Trump campaign has argued for the importance of early debates, citing the need for Americans to be informed about the state of the country.

As the debate on the 2024 presidential debates continues, it remains to be seen if both candidates will agree on the timing and details of the highly anticipated face-offs.
