In a move aimed at safeguarding the integrity of the upcoming 2024 elections, the Trump campaign and the Republican National Committee (RNC) have announced plans to field a formidable team of 100,000 lawyers and volunteers in key battleground states. This initiative, touted as the largest election integrity program in the nation's history, aims to monitor and, if necessary, challenge the counting of votes.

Recently installed RNC chair, Michael Whatley, emphasized the importance of election integrity, stating, "Election integrity is the foundation of our democracy." Through this unprecedented program, a combination of lawyers and volunteers will be mobilized to ensure the sanctity of the electoral process.

The Trump campaign and the RNC intend to deploy "aggressive attorneys" to oversee various stages of the election process, including voting machine testing, early voting, Election Day voting, mail-in ballot processing, and audits and recounts following the election. Additionally, hotlines will be set up in battleground states to enable poll watchers and concerned voters to report potential issues.

Lawyers involved in the initiative will guide poll watchers on appropriate election code and provide clarity on how to address and escalate any concerns. The program will be active from the first day of early voting through the election day and beyond, if necessary.

It is worth noting that while partisan monitoring is permitted, it is not allowed to interfere in the voting process, with the primary purpose being to report any irregularities and potential instances of voter intimidation.

This comprehensive program underscores former President Donald Trump's long-standing emphasis on election integrity. Trump has consistently made unsupported claims of massive voter fraud contributing to his loss in the 2020 election to President Biden. He is currently facing two criminal indictments related to his alleged efforts to undermine and overturn those election results. Moreover, Trump and his allies have raised concerns about potential election rigging in the 2024 election.

The RNC, under then-chair Ronna McDaniel, had already announced plans to recruit and train tens of thousands of poll workers and monitors in battleground states for the 2024 election. Following Trump's nomination as the GOP presidential candidate, Michael Whatley took over as RNC chair, alongside co-chair Lara Trump and RNC chief counsel Charlie Spies, who crafted the new program.

With this ambitious undertaking, the Trump campaign and the RNC demonstrate their commitment to ensuring transparency and fairness in the upcoming 2024 elections. The deployment of a massive team of lawyers and volunteers marks a significant step towards their goal of protecting the vote and securing a decisive victory on November 5th.
