**Trump and Zuckerberg Dine Together at Mar-a-Lago, Discuss Future Collaboration**

Donald Trump hosted Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg for dinner on Wednesday at Mar-a-Lago, his club in Florida. The event marked a significant reunion between the two figures, with Zuckerberg having been a notable figure in the tech world and Trump a key political figure set to start his second term.

Stephen Miller, appointed as Trump's deputy chief of staff, commented on Zuckerberg's intentions, noting that the CEO, like many other business leaders, is keen to support Trump's economic initiatives. Miller mentioned on Fox News that Zuckerberg expressed a desire to contribute to the "national renewal of America" under Trump's leadership. A spokesperson for Meta also confirmed the dinner, which included discussions about the incoming administration with other team members.

Zuckerberg's relationship with Trump has seen ups and downs, particularly after Facebook banned Trump following the January 6, 2021, Capitol attack. Facebook restored Trump's account in early 2023. Throughout the 2024 campaign, Zuckerberg chose not to endorse any presidential candidate, yet he has recently shown a more favorable attitude towards Trump. Zuckerberg had praised Trump's handling of an assassination attempt and criticized the Biden administration for exerting pressure on Facebook to censor certain COVID-19 content.

Despite these gestures, Trump had not refrained from attacking Zuckerberg in public. In July, Trump threatened election offenders, indirectly targeting Zuckerberg with a post on Truth Social warning, "ZUCKERBUCKS, be careful!"

The dinner occurred as Elon Musk has emerged as another influential figure in Trump’s Make America Great Again movement. Musk has contributed approximately $200 million via his political action committee to support Trump and has been active at Mar-a-Lago since the election. Trump appointed Musk to head the "Department of Government Efficiency," an advisory panel set up to identify and eliminate waste, alongside Vivek Ramaswamy, a venture capitalist and former GOP presidential candidate.

The gathering at Mar-a-Lago signified a potential new phase of collaboration between technology leaders and a forthcoming Trump administration, poised to address various challenges and opportunities on the horizon.
