**Trump Advisers Unmoved by Court Ruling Against Tariffs**

President Trump's key economic advisers have firmly stated that they won't be swayed by a recent court decision declaring many of the administration's tariffs illegal. The officials underscored that there are alternative legal avenues the White House can employ to exert pressure on China and other countries to initiate trade talks.

During an appearance on Fox News Sunday, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick assured that the tariffs will remain in place. He emphasized, "Rest assured, tariffs are not going away." Lutnick also touched upon the future of the 90-day suspension of some of the most significant tariffs, which was first initiated in April but has no current plans for extension. "I don't see today that an extension is coming," Lutnick added, making it more plausible that these tariffs could be reinstated come July.

This development comes amid tensions, as China has accused the United States of "seriously violating" the fragile US-China detente. Less than a month ago, both nations had agreed to a temporary cessation of the escalating trade war that had threatened to destabilize the global economy. That agreement, reached on May 12, entailed a 90-day hiatus on spiraling "reciprocal" tariffs that both countries had levied on each other’s goods.

Before this ceasefire, tariffs had skyrocketed to 125% on both sides, stoking fears of an effective embargo on trade between the world's two largest economies. Despite the court ruling and growing international tensions, it appears that the Trump administration remains steadfast in its trade policies.
