Tragic Death of Wells Fargo Employee Discovered at Tempe Office

A shocking incident unfolded at a Wells Fargo office in Tempe, Arizona, where the lifeless body of Denise Prudhomme, a 60-year-old employee, was found four days after she entered the building. The Tempe Police Department revealed that Prudhomme had checked into work on Friday, August 16, at around 7 a.m., but had never scanned out. It was not until Tuesday, August 20, that on-site security made the grim discovery and alerted authorities.

Sgt. Ryan Cook of the Tempe Police Department shared that Prudhomme's body was found in a cubicle on the third floor of the multi-level Wells Fargo building. The exact cause of her death remains under investigation, but initial findings from the preliminary investigation do not suggest any obvious signs of foul play. The Office of the Medical Examiner will ultimately determine the exact cause and circumstances surrounding Prudhomme's passing.

The news has left Prudhomme's coworkers shaken and grieving for their lost colleague. One worker, while speaking with ABC News 12, expressed shock, stating, "To hear she's been sitting at the desk like that would make me feel sick. And nobody did anything. That's how she spent her last moments."

Wells Fargo, in a statement provided to CBS News affiliate AZFamily, expressed deep sadness and offered condolences to Prudhomme's family and loved ones during this challenging time. They also mentioned that counselors, available through their Employee Assistance Consulting service, are ready to support their employees. Wells Fargo assured that they are fully cooperating with the Tempe Police Department's investigation and directed any further inquiries to the authorities.

The tragic loss of Denise Prudhomme has left a somber atmosphere at the Wells Fargo office in Tempe. As investigators continue their efforts to determine the cause of her untimely death, coworkers and the community mourn the loss of a valued employee.
