Tragic Bus Crash in Mississippi Claims Seven Lives, Including Two Siblings

In a devastating incident early Saturday morning, a passenger bus in Mississippi overturned on Interstate 20, resulting in the deaths of seven individuals, including a 6-year-old boy and his 16-year-old sister. The Mississippi Highway Patrol reported that the bus, which was traveling westbound, veered off the roadway and flipped, causing numerous injuries among the passengers.
According to the initial investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol, the bus accident occurred around 12:40 a.m., with no other vehicles involved. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) revealed that the bus had experienced a tire failure while on the interstate, though the exact cause of the crash is still under investigation.
Tragically, six passengers were pronounced dead on the scene, while another victim passed away at a nearby hospital. All of the deceased victims were identified as Guatemalan nationals. Authorities have not released their names, awaiting notification of their next of kin. The Warren County Coroner's office confirmed that the victims included a young boy and his teenage sister, further intensifying the sorrow surrounding the incident.
A total of 37 injured passengers were transported to nearby hospitals with various unidentified injuries. The exact number of passengers on the bus remains unknown at this time.
