Starting with the downtown area, Howard Street between the Embarcadero and Beale Street will be closed for repairs. Steuart Street south of Mission Street and Spear Street between Mission and Folsom streets are also expected to have partial closures.
Motorists traveling around the Howard Street area should be aware of the closures at the intersections of Howard Street at Steuart, Spear, and Main streets. Additionally, Main Street between Mission and Folsom streets will be affected by detours.
Moving to the western part of the city, La Playa Street between Cabrillo and Fulton streets will undergo maintenance. Fulton Street, both westbound and eastbound, between the Great Highway and 46th/48th Avenue, will have partial closures.
Drivers should also note the closures along Lincoln Way between the Great Highway and La Playa Street, as well as the intersections of Lincoln Way at Lower Great Highway and La Playa Street. The Great Highway, a major route, will be affected between Sloat Boulevard and John F. Kennedy Drive.
Commuters in the Mission district should be prepared for detours on Beale Street, Fremont Street, and Mission Street between Fremont and Steuart streets. First Street between Market and Folsom streets will also see diversions, along with Second Street between Mission and Folsom streets.
Businesses and pedestrians along New Montgomery Street between Mission and Howard streets should be aware of potential disruptions due to construction activities. Furthermore, Howard Street between Beale and Third streets will be affected, as well as the intersections of Howard Street at Beale, Fremont, First, Second, and New Montgomery streets.
In addition to these closures, motorists are advised to plan alternative routes when traveling along Market Street between Drumm and Steuart streets. The streets surrounding Hayes Valley, namely Steiner Street between Grove and Hayes streets, Scott Street between Grove and Hayes streets, Divisadero Street between Grove and Oak streets, and Fell Street between Divisadero and Stanyan streets, will also experience increased traffic due to ongoing construction work.
The San Francisco Department of Public Works has announced that these street closures and detours will be in effect beginning next week and are expected to last for several weeks.
