Displacement and Damage in Barnsdall Following Tornado Strike

Barnsdall, OK - A devastating tornado late on Monday night has resulted in numerous residents being displaced and significant damage across the area. The tornado inflicted severe destruction on the Barnsdall Nursing Home, leading to part of its roof collapsing. However, the staff has confirmed that all residents were accounted for and no injuries were reported.

With the safety and well-being of the residents as a top priority, the affected individuals have been transferred to temporary shelters while the nursing home works diligently to notify their family members. Emergency crews have implemented roadblocks throughout Barnsdall to restrict access to the most severely impacted areas.

Tragically, there has been one confirmed fatality resulting from the tornado. According to Osage County Emergency Management, approximately 30 to 40 homes have suffered varying degrees of damage due to the tornado's impact. The extent of the devastation is still being thoroughly assessed.

In response to the dire situation, the B the Light Mission in Bartlesville has opened its doors to provide shelter to those affected by the tornado. The mission's location, situated at 219 North Virginia, is available to those in need.
