### IDF Uncovers and Destroys Hamas Weapon Facility in Central Gaza

In a significant operation, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have exposed an underground Hamas weapons-manufacturing facility located beneath a civilian population in central Gaza. This facility, found near the area of Zeitoun, was revealed to contain workshops and an extensive array of supplies for producing rockets, shells, and grenades before being dismantled by IDF engineering troops.

The hidden facility wasn't just a workspace; it was built with long-term living accommodations including an oven, stove, food supplies, beds, and offices used by Hamas operatives during the conflict. Video footage released by the IDF captured troops navigating a complex tunnel system leading to this site. The tunnel even featured diving equipment, which the IDF suggests was intended for sea-based infiltrations into Israeli territory by Hamas.

According to an IDF statement, the operation to locate and dismantle the tunnel and its contents was conducted under the command of the Southern Command, in collaboration with the Yahalom Unit and the Ministry of Defense's Engineering and Construction Directorate. They succeeded in impairing the weapons production capabilities of Hamas, mitigating the immediate threat of rearmament.

On the same day, an intensification of tensions was seen as Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei pledged a "tooth-breaking" retaliation against actions from both Israel and the United States. This stark warning came as a top advisor to Khamenei, Kamal Kharrazi, declared Iran's readiness to reconsider its nuclear weapons policy if faced with an existential threat. He asserted that Iran is fully capable of building nuclear weapons and would do so if necessary.

Additionally, the conflict saw further escalation with Israel asserting that its forces had eliminated two Hezbollah commanders in Lebanon. The IDF identified these individuals as Mousa Izz al-Din, Hezbollah's coastal sector commander, and Hassan Majid Daib, responsible for artillery operations in the same region. According to the IDF, Daib had been orchestrating projectile attacks towards Haifa Bay just the day before their elimination.

This comprehensive series of events underscores the heightened state of security and military operations in the region, reflecting the ongoing volatility and the multipronged threats faced by Israel.
