### "The Rise Of The Golden Idol" to Unveil New Case in November

The detective sequel, "The Rise Of The Golden Idol," is set to premiere its latest case on November 12th. However, this anticipated release is just the beginning for Color Gray Games. The developers have big plans for a series of additional downloadable content (DLC), mirroring the approach taken with their first game, "The Case Of The Golden Idol," which featured four standalone mysteries.

According to Color Gray Games, they are eager to expand the Golden Idol universe through these new chapters. "There are a ton of additional standalone stories we want to tell set in the Golden Idol universe, and we found that the best way to tell these stories is through four self-contained DLC chapters - called Investigations," stated the announcement. These DLCs are designed as optional content, providing extra depth and intrigue without being necessary to complete the main storyline.

In its initial release, the base game "The Rise Of The Golden Idol" will feature 20 scenarios and will be priced at $20 or a region-specific equivalent on Steam. Each of the four forthcoming DLCs will add at least four scenarios apiece, enriching the gaming experience further. The first of these, titled "The Sins Of New Wells," is scheduled to launch in the first quarter of 2025. Following this, two more DLC chapters are expected in the spring of 2025, with a fourth anticipated in autumn.

"The Case Of The Golden Idol" was widely celebrated as one of the standout puzzle games of 2022, praised for its engaging and challenging gameplay. Its successor, "The Rise Of The Golden Idol," aims to continue this legacy, shifting its narrative from the 18th century to the 1970s. This change in setting promises to offer players a fresh yet familiar experience filled with mystery and suspense.
