Teen Suspect in Iowa Homicide Shot and Killed by U.S. Marshals in Southern California

In a joint operation between U.S. Marshals and local Southern California law enforcement, a teen wanted for a homicide in Iowa was shot and killed on Friday afternoon. The incident occurred at approximately 2:15 p.m. on the 1440 block of N. State College Boulevard in Anaheim, near California State University, Fullerton.
The operation unfolded when law enforcement, consisting of U.S. Marshals and task force members, made contact with the suspect, identified as 18-year-old Victor Antonio Delgadillo, near a Motel 6 in Anaheim. Upon confronting Delgadillo, authorities opened fire.
During the exchange, investigators discovered a firearm at the scene. Paramedics were immediately summoned and rushed two individuals to the hospital, including Delgadillo. Tragically, medical professionals pronounced Delgadillo dead.
In addition to Delgadillo's fatality, a bystander also sustained minor injuries during the shooting. The injured civilian was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, but was subsequently released shortly after.
The U.S. Marshals stated that Delgadillo was a suspect wanted in connection with a homicide that occurred in Marshall County, Iowa. According to reports from the Des Moines CBS affiliate, Delgadillo allegedly shot and killed a 41-year-old man outside a bar on June 1. He was considered armed and dangerous by law enforcement authorities handling the case.
