### Tim Cook Congratulates Trump and Reflects on Apple’s Position in Politics

In a recent social media post, Apple CEO Tim Cook extended his congratulations to President Trump on his victory. Cook expressed optimism about collaborating with the Trump administration to ensure that the United States remains a global leader through ingenuity, innovation, and creativity.

Cook's public acknowledgment of President Trump's win is reflective of a broader trend among leading tech executives. Notable figures such as Meta's Mark Zuckerberg, Google's Sundar Pichai, Jeff Bezos, Microsoft's Satya Nadella, OpenAI's Sam Altman, and Elon Musk have also taken to social media to offer their congratulations.

Following the events at the US Capitol on January 6, 2021, Cook called for a peaceful transfer of power from the Trump administration to the incoming Biden administration. He later extended his congratulations to President Biden and Vice President Harris on their Inauguration Day.

Tim Cook has consistently emphasized the importance of engagement in political and social issues. Responding to a statement from Trump last month regarding a phone call about Apple's legal issues with the European Union—which has resulted in $17 billion in fines—Cook reiterated his stance on active involvement in policy discussions. Trump quoted Cook as expressing concerns about the fines, to which Trump reportedly responded, "I've got to get elected first. But I'm not going to let them take advantage of our companies."

Throughout his leadership, Cook has maintained that meaningful change comes from being part of the conversation rather than remaining passive. In 2016, he notably remarked, "You don't change things by just yelling. You change things by showing everyone why your way is the best."
