In a recent poll conducted by Victory Insights in North Carolina, Taylor Swift's reputation among voters in the swing state has seen a significant decline following her foray into political endorsements. The survey, which sampled 600 likely general election voters between September 16 and 18, revealed that a considerable portion of respondents expressed negative sentiments towards the pop singer for her political pronouncements. 30% of participants rated Swift as "extremely negative," with an additional 9% holding a less intense aversion, totaling almost 40% of voters categorizing their views towards the singer as unfavorable.

Despite the backlash against Swift, a notable 31% of respondents still hold positive opinions about the pop star, albeit a lower percentage than those expressing negative perceptions. Surprisingly, the survey also indicated that Elon Musk, who recently made controversial comments directed at Swift, garnered more favorable views in the swing state, with 35% of respondents viewing him positively compared to 39% who held a negative opinion.

While the polling demonstrated a negative trend concerning Taylor Swift, it revealed a more favorable outlook for former President Donald Trump in North Carolina. According to the survey, Trump leads Kamala Harris 49% to 45%, showing a more substantial margin than his average lead in the state. Independents seem to be driving the momentum in favor of the former president, with a significant 43% to 27% preference over his opponent in this demographic. However, the survey results also indicate a tight race for North Carolina's Lieutenant Governor Mark Robinson, a Republican candidate for the governor's office, with Democrat Josh Stein leading 47% to 42%. Undecided voters who previously supported Trump comprise 7% of the sample, highlighting the importance of winning over these voters for Robinson's campaign.
