### Third Suspect Arrested in Connection to Super Bowl Reporter’s Death in New Orleans

A third individual has been arrested in relation to the tragic death of Adan Manzano, a reporter covering the Super Bowl in New Orleans. Authorities on Friday described the incident as part of a sophisticated scheme to drug and rob victims. The latest suspect, Christian Anderson, was detained by police in Kenner, a suburb west of New Orleans.

The Kenner Police Department claims Anderson, 33, rented the car that was used by Danette Colbert, previously charged with second-degree murder, fraud, and other crimes following the incident on February 5. Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill has labeled Colbert, 48, a "serial fraudster." Authorities suggest Anderson provided logistical assistance and maintained extensive communication with Colbert after Manzano’s body was discovered in a Kenner hotel room.

Investigations revealed that Anderson allegedly participated in a coordinated effort to target victims, drug them, and steal their belongings, including phones and access to financial accounts. Police have accused Anderson of simple robbery, purse snatching, access device fraud, illegal transmission of money, bank fraud, and computer fraud. It remains unclear if Anderson has legal representation.

Manzano, a reporter for Telemundo, vanished on February 5 after being seen entering his hotel room with Colbert. Authorities later found a device believed to be Manzano’s cellphone at Colbert’s residence, and she is alleged to have used his credit card at a local store.

The third accused, Rickey White, was apprehended in Florida in March and subsequently extradited to Louisiana. White faces charges of second-degree murder along with fraud and theft. His attorney has denied the charges, while legal representatives for Colbert have yet to comment.

Colbert has a history of similar offenses, including an instance where she allegedly drugged a victim, left him for dead, and stole large sums of money using his iPhone. Convicted of computer fraud and other charges in October, Colbert was initially sentenced to five years of probation, despite pleas for a harsher sentence from her previous victim, David Butler.

Following media coverage of Butler’s story, the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office intervened, resulting in an increased sentence for Colbert. She was recently deemed a "habitual offender" and given a 25-year prison sentence. Butler expressed hope that Colbert’s imprisonment would bring peace to other survivors and restore faith in the justice system. Representatives for Colbert have not responded to requests for comments.
