In a recent interview on "Fox News Sunday," Senator John Kennedy of Louisiana called on President Biden to adopt a more robust approach towards Iran in response to the recent missile and drone attack on Israel. The Biden administration reportedly advised Israel against launching a retaliatory response to the attack, prompting criticism from Kennedy regarding the strength of Biden's support for Israel.

During the interview, Senator Kennedy expressed concern over what he perceived as a wavering support of Israel from the Biden administration. "In the past 60 days, we have seen President Biden go wobbly in his support of Israel," Kennedy remarked. He further emphasized the need for a firm stance, urging the president to "go to Amazon and buy a spine online," while asserting that "peace through weakness never works, not with these hard, armed men."

Iran launched approximately 300 drones and missiles from its own territory towards Israel, with the majority intercepted by Israeli air defenses. In response, Israel conducted airstrikes on multiple Hezbollah targets in Lebanon, including a significant weapon-manufacturing site. However, despite mounting tensions, Israel has yet to announce plans for a large-scale retaliation.

Notably, The New York Times reported that the Biden administration advised Israel against retaliating against Iran. Senator Kennedy accused President Biden of being influenced by the "Hamas wing of the Democratic Party" and urged him to strengthen his support for Israel. He emphasized the importance of standing with Israel and warned against turning a blind eye to Iran's aggression.

President Biden has faced criticism for his perceived failed attempt to dissuade Iran from attacking Israel. During a press conference on Friday, Biden delivered a concise message, saying, "Don't," when questioned about his stance on Iran ahead of the anticipated attack.

Senator Kennedy emphasized the need for the United States to stand steadfast against Iran and its proxies. He categorized Hamas, Hezbollah, and Yemen as surrogates for Iran, labeling them as "prostitutes" and identifying Iran as the "pimp." Kennedy asserted that Israel is at war with Iran, as Iran harbors animosity towards Americans and Jews, and warned against complacency towards their threat.

As tensions between Iran and Israel persist, Senator Kennedy's call to President Biden to adopt a stronger stance against Iran echoes concerns about the administration's support for Israel. The senator's remarks highlight the urgency of standing with Israel and maintaining a firm position against Iranian aggression.
