The San Francisco 49ers wrapped up their preseason schedule with a resounding victory against the Las Vegas Raiders on Friday evening. Head coach Kyle Shanahan stuck to his plan by fielding a mix of expected starters and giving them significant playing time.

Quarterback Brock Purdy led the 49ers' offense in the opening series, displaying early chemistry with wide receiver Deebo Samuel Sr. A 27-yard connection between the two set the tone for a successful drive that ended with a 49-yard field goal by kicker Jake Moody. Purdy continued to impress by hitting tight end George Kittle under pressure and scrambling for a first down, ultimately setting up a touchdown run by running back Jordan Mason.

Shanahan made a strategic decision and allowed ninth-year pro Brandon Allen to take over for Purdy in the second quarter. Allen showcased his passing accuracy, completing five of seven passes for 60 yards, although his drives were hindered by a few dropped passes and sacks. Allen's connection with tight end Cameron Latu for 24 yards and a 19-yard toss to Jacob Cowing were highlights of his performance.

In the later stages of the game, quarterback Joshua Dobbs took charge and completed six of seven passes for 49 yards and a touchdown. Dobbs orchestrated an efficient 11-play drive that culminated in a touchdown pass to Cowing down the middle. Although Tanner Mordecai did not lead the 49ers to any scoring drives, he made notable completions to Ronnie Bell and Trent Taylor.

On the defensive front, the 49ers exhibited their dominance by forcing a quick three-and-out in the opening moments of the game. They followed it up with a turnover on their next series, as safety Ji'Ayir Brown and linebacker Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles combined to force a fumble from Raiders quarterback Nathan Peterman. The loose ball was secured by defensive lineman Robert Beal Jr., giving the 49ers excellent field position.

Unfortunately, the game was marred by injuries for the 49ers' defensive line. Both free agent signings, Yetur Gross-Matos and Leonard Floyd, suffered knee injuries in the first quarter. Gross-Matos was rolled upon a Raiders run play, while Floyd got caught up in a scramble attempt to tackle Peterman. Shanahan confirmed that both players are likely dealing with knee sprains and will undergo MRI scans for further evaluation.

In a standout performance on special teams, rookie running back Isaac Guerendo made his preseason debut after recovering from a hamstring injury. Partnering with Patrick Taylor Jr., Guerendo showcased his explosive playmaking abilities by returning a kickoff for an impressive 93 yards. This set up the 49ers' offense just four yards away from the end zone, and Taylor Jr. capitalized on the opportunity with a three-yard touchdown run.

The San Francisco 49ers head into the regular season with a solid preseason record and several positive takeaways. Despite the injuries on the defensive line, the team's offense displayed its potential, while Guerendo's standout performance on special teams provides a spark heading into the opening game. Fans and analysts alike eagerly await the start of the regular season and the 49ers' quest for success.
