In a recent appearance on Hot Ones alongside his Deadpool & Wolverine co-star Hugh Jackman, Ryan Reynolds divulged his clever strategy to prevent spoilers from their upcoming superhero movie. Host Sean Evans brought up the topic of leaks and asked the actors their thoughts on how leaks can affect a film's success.

Reynolds expressed his amazement that the biggest surprises from the movie had remained under wraps until its release. He then unveiled his elaborate plan to ensure that fans would experience the film without any major spoilers, a plan so secretive that even Jackman was kept in the dark.

"The original idea was to shoot a fake movie called Alpha Cop that was intentionally bad," Reynolds shared. He even went as far as creating a poster for the fake film, featuring two individuals sharing one brain to become the ultimate cop. The poster humorously read, "Alpha Cop: Two Cops, One Brain. All Balls."

The intention behind this ruse was to create a horrible movie that only a small number of people, specifically 10 in America, would go to see on opening weekend. However, the twist would unfold within the first few minutes, as the Marvel logo would suddenly appear, revealing that it was actually Deadpool & Wolverine.

Jackman seemed intrigued by Reynolds' plan, reminiscing about the leaked version of X-Men Origins: Wolverine, which made rounds on the internet prior to its scheduled release. He recalled someone mentioning that approximately 10 million people had already seen the rough cut, emphasizing the importance of avoiding such leaks for their latest film.

Although the Deadpool & Wolverine stars successfully prevented significant leaks, they faced a different kind of challenge during their Hot Ones interview. The actors took on the increasingly scorching hot sauces and found themselves struggling to handle the heat. Both Jackman and Reynolds were visibly affected, with Jackman sweating through his polo and Reynolds jokingly questioning if he was peeing from the spiciness.

The highlight of their struggle was when they were brought ice cream to cool off, but even that couldn't provide relief. Jackman, in a desperate attempt to ease his discomfort, tried scraping his tongue with a napkin and even suspected the treat contained chilis.

As fans eagerly await the release of the Deadpool & Wolverine movie, Reynolds' ingenious plan to combat spoilers has proven successful. With their dynamic on-screen chemistry and dedication to their characters, it's clear that the actors are determined to deliver an unforgettable experience for audiences everywhere.
