**R-Truth Announces Departure from WWE After Long Tenure**

Ron Killings, better known to WWE fans as R-Truth, has announced his departure from the wrestling company. The news was shared by the celebrated wrestler via social media late Sunday morning, marking the end of his long-standing association with WWE.

In his heartfelt message, Killings expressed his gratitude to WWE and his fans. "I'm sorry to inform you all. I just got released from WWE. I want to thank WWE for the ride, but mostly I want to thank each and every one of you who was along for the ride. Thank you for all the love, support, and appreciation you have given me over the years," he wrote.

Sean Ross Sapp from Fightful confirmed the authenticity of Killings' statement on X, stating, "The R-Truth tweet is accurate, not a hack or accident. He will be leaving WWE when his deal expires." Ross Sapp clarified that Killings' departure was not due to a formal release but because his contract would not be extended, which has reportedly caused considerable surprise within the WWE roster.

Notable WWE personalities have also reacted to the news. WWE Raw announcer Pat McAfee praised Killings, saying, "I love @RonKillings. It's guaranteed joy when he's a part of a segment. He's also my dad's favorite WWE Superstar of all time." McAfee noted that while his family is saddened by the news, they believe Killings will continue to inspire with his notable charisma and intelligence.

Raj Giri, founder of Wrestling Inc., speculated on Killings' future, suggesting a potential return to TNA, where he previously held two NWA World Titles. With his extensive experience and respected status in the wrestling community, Killings could play a key role in mentoring emerging talent, particularly within TNA, now a WWE partner.

Killings began his WWE journey in 2008 and has since won numerous championships, most notably capturing the 24/7 Title an impressive 54 times. In recent years, his comedic and engaging segments, including his work with Judgment Day and a notable feud with John Cena, have been standout moments on WWE programming. Despite his recent loss to Cena at Saturday Night's Main Event, Killings maintained his optimistic outlook, leaving fans with the possibility of seeing his continued involvement in WWE storylines.

His announcement coincides with WWE's recent release of several superstars in early May, including notable names such as Braun Strowman and Dakota Kai.
