**Bruce Springsteen Condemns Trump Administration in Manchester Concert**

Bruce Springsteen launched his "Land of Hope and Dreams" tour in Manchester, England, with a powerful rebuke of President Trump, accusing his administration of undermining civil rights, worker protections, and international alliances. The remarks made by the 75-year-old rock legend were particularly notable as many other prominent artists have toned down their public criticism of Mr. Trump in recent years.

During his concert, Springsteen took time before performing songs like "Land of Hope and Dreams," "House of a Thousand Guitars," and "My City of Ruins" to criticize the U.S. President. He did not hold back, characterizing the Trump administration as "corrupt, incompetent, and treasonous." His comments were later posted in full on his website and a video was shared on his YouTube channel.

"The mighty E Street Band is here tonight to call upon the righteous power of art, of music, of rock 'n' roll, in dangerous times," Springsteen told the cheering audience. He expressed his deep love for America, the country he has written about for decades, describing it as a "beacon of hope and liberty for 250 years" which he now sees compromised by the current administration.

Springsteen’s grievances included accusations that the Trump administration takes "sadistic pleasure" in harming loyal American workers, rolls back civil rights legislation, abandons U.S. allies in favor of dictators, defunds universities, and deports residents without due legal process. He assured his fans, however, that despite the grim situation, the United States would endure.

"The America I've sung to you about for 50 years is real and, regardless of its faults, is a great country with great people," Springsteen concluded. "So we'll survive this moment."
