**Robert Saleh Responds Graciously Following Unexpected Dismissal from New York Jets**

In an unforeseen move, the New York Jets dismissed Robert Saleh after just over three years of coaching the team. Showing gratitude, Saleh expressed appreciation for his time with the organization through a statement provided to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport.

In his statement, Saleh acknowledged the unique opportunity he had to work with the Jets. "I am grateful to have had the opportunity to work with so many incredible people," he remarked, extending thanks for the support and camaraderie he experienced at 1 Jets Drive.

Saleh's affection for the players was evident as he addressed them directly, stating, "The character of the men in the locker room made coaching you guys the ultimate privilege. Through all the ups and downs, each and every one of you showed up every day and attacked every moment." Saleh also showed appreciation for his coaching peers and the staff members, praising their dedication and sacrifices.

He reserved special thanks for the Jets' fans, noting, "To the most passionate fan base in the NFL, thank you for embracing my family. It has been a pleasure calling New York our home and we will forever appreciate all of the memories that were created here."

Saleh's dismissal followed a 2-3 start to the season, and over his tenure, he amassed a 20-36 record without leading the team to a playoff appearance. Defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich has been appointed as the interim coach, set to lead the team in their upcoming game against the Buffalo Bills.
