In a fiery Tuesday night debate between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris, right-wing figures expressed a range of viewpoints regarding the candidates' performance and the conduct of the moderators. Lindsey Graham, a staunch Trump supporter, labeled the debate as a "disaster" and criticized Trump's lack of preparation, suggesting that his debate team should be fired.

However, some right-wing personalities shifted the blame to the debate anchors, accusing them of bias against Trump. The former president himself declined to commit to a second debate, claiming it was a "three-on-one attack." Fox News' Jesse Watters acknowledged Trump's chaotic performance but attempted to highlight his "great knockouts" during the event, emphasizing that the race had become tighter as a result.

Criticism was also directed at ABC, the network airing the debate. Sean Hannity argued that the network did not press hard enough on Harris' past policies, expressing his frustration with the lack of information about her. Similarly, right-wing podcaster Matt Walsh responded to someone astonished by Trump's rambling, questioning the need for dishonesty and describing the performance as less than brilliant.

Following the debate, right-wing politicians, pundits, and journalists rallied to defend Trump and launch attacks on perceived opponents, with ABC bearing the brunt of their criticism. Numerous conservatives accused moderators David Muir and Linsey Davis of favoring Harris while Trump struggled. Megyn Kelly described the moderators' apparent support for Harris as "running cover," suggesting it made the debate easier for the candidate. Meghan McCain expressed dissatisfaction with what she deemed as elite Manhattan debate questions, arguing they did a disservice to the American people who were struggling to make ends meet.

Some commentators also claimed that ABC orchestrated the debate to benefit Harris. Radio host Hugh Hewitt found it "laughable" how obvious the network's efforts were, while Glenn Greenwald accused Muir and Davis of essentially handling the debate for Harris. Throughout the event, the moderators diligently fact-checked Trump's statements, exposing falsehoods such as the claim that parents in certain states can choose to kill a baby after birth or that illegal immigrants are eating pets.

Fox News commentator Brit Hume, despite his conservative leanings, gave credit to Harris for her composed and prepared performance. He noted that she successfully capitalized on opportunities and skillfully baited Trump during the debate, challenging preconceived notions of her intelligence and ability.

As the dust settles from this contentious debate, the reactions from right-wing figures reflect the varying opinions surrounding Trump's performance and the perceived biases of the moderators. With the election fervor intensifying, these debates continue to be closely watched and heavily scrutinized by supporters and critics alike.
