In the early hours of Monday morning, a public works staffer found himself trapped in his work truck after a sinkhole suddenly formed in Fairlawn, a suburb of Akron, Ohio. The incident occurred as the man responded to a water main break in the town.

The public works staffer was alone in his truck around 5:30 a.m. when the sinkhole unexpectedly opened up. Fortunately, he was able to escape the partially submerged vehicle and climb to safety without sustaining any injuries.
