### Presidential Race Deadlocked Ahead of Election Day, Poll Shows

With Election Day just two weeks away, a recently released national poll from UMass Amherst indicates a highly competitive presidential race. The poll reveals Vice President Kamala Harris holding a slight lead with 48 percent support among likely voters, narrowly edging out former President Donald Trump, who garners 46 percent support.

The poll, conducted from October 11 to 16, surveyed 1,500 respondents, with a significant focus on female voters, comprising 1,036 of the total participants. Among women, 50 percent expressed support for Harris, while 43 percent favored Trump. The remaining respondents were either undecided or supporting another candidate.

It is important to note that Harris's narrow lead falls within the poll's margin of error of plus or minus 3.1 percent, signaling a virtual tie between the two candidates. As Election Day approaches, these figures highlight the critical and uncertain nature of the upcoming vote.
