**Trump and Harris Make Final Campaign Push as Election Day Nears**
With Election Day just around the corner, the presidential candidates are intensifying their campaigns in crucial battleground states. Former President Donald Trump started his whirlwind day in Raleigh, North Carolina, before moving on to rally supporters in Reading and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and ending the day with an event in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
In Flint, Michigan, Vance urged supporters to maximize their voting impact by encouraging friends and family members to vote. "As I understand it, early voting is over in Michigan, so we're going to get out there tomorrow and take every single person you know," Vance stated, emphasizing his message to "vote every single one of us, 10 times" in a legal capstone to stress legitimate participation.
Adding more drama to the campaign trail, former Fox News host Megyn Kelly revealed on her show that she will be joining Trump at his Pittsburgh rally on the night before the election. She plans to explain to the audience why she believes it's essential for Trump to win, and to prevent Vice President Kamala Harris from taking office. Kelly, however, warned Trump to temper his language to avoid alienating female voters.
Meanwhile, Democratic nominee Gov. Tim Walz, campaigning in Wisconsin, expressed his confidence in the integrity of the U.S. election system, calling it the "fairest and most secure elections in the world." Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson also celebrated the state's successful early voting process, noting that nearly 3.2 million people had already cast their votes through mail or early in-person voting, with women making up 55% of the ballots cast.
Polls suggest the election could hinge on the gender gap, with Kamala Harris performing strongly among women. The CBS News poll from late October shows her competitive against Trump in seven key battleground states. Harris is hoping to leverage this support, particularly from suburban women, to secure a crucial victory.
Stephanie Sharp, co-founder of the Women4U.S. group and a lifelong conservative, is calling on Republican women to vote for Harris. "We'll send Donald Trump packing, and then we can begin to have productive conversations and compromise on important issues," Sharp said.
Trump remains confident, claiming at a Raleigh rally that President Joe Biden favors him over Harris and criticizing former First Lady Michelle Obama for her recent campaign activities in support of Harris. Trump hinted at a retaliatory response but was advised by his team to remain calm, a decision he solicited feedback on from his North Carolina audience.
Additionally, Trump has promised to impose a 25% tariff on Mexican imports unless President Claudia Sheinbaum takes action to stop illegal immigration. He declared that this measure would have a "100% chance of working," reflecting the urgency and intensity of the final days of his campaign.
