President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. is set to embark on a diplomatic visit to Germany and Angola from October 10 to 15. In Germany, President Biden will engage in high-level meetings with German leaders to reinforce the strong alliance and friendship between the United States and Germany. Discussions will revolve around shared priorities, emphasizing the commitment to democracy, countering antisemitism, and fostering economic cooperation. A key focus will be expressing gratitude for Germany's support in various areas, such as aiding Ukraine's defense against Russian aggression and contributing to the security of the NATO Alliance.

Moving forward in his itinerary, President Biden will then travel to Luanda, Angola, from October 13 to 15. During his visit, he will meet with President João Lourenço to enhance collaboration on key agendas, including strengthening economic partnerships, promoting democracy and civic engagement, and advancing climate security efforts. Of significant importance will be the celebration of a groundbreaking project - the G7's Partnership for Global Infrastructure and Investment, which aims to establish Africa's first trans-continental open-access rail network linking the Atlantic Ocean to the Indian Ocean, starting in Lobito.

President Biden's visit to Angola demonstrates the evolution and deepening of the U.S.-Angola relationship, emphasizing the United States' enduring commitment to its African partners. By working together to address common challenges, this collaborative effort seeks to deliver tangible benefits for both the American people and citizens across the African continent.
