In a meeting with Democratic governors on Wednesday night, President Joe Biden made a surprising admission about his health following his disastrous debate performance. According to Politico, the 81-year-old Commander-in-Chief revealed that he had undergone a medical examination in the aftermath of the debate and reassured the governors that he is in good health.

Sources report that Biden's visit to the doctor was limited to evaluating a persistent cold and did not include any significant tests. The revelation came in response to a question about his physical condition raised by one of the state leaders during the hour-long meeting.

This development comes as concerns about Biden's age and mental and physical capacity have started to surface among Democrats, as he continues to campaign for another four-year term. However, the mention of a checkup was clarified as a brief and routine appointment with a White House physician for a recurring cold, according to a person familiar with the president's daily schedule.

Prior to the meeting, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre declined to comment on whether Biden's health had been evaluated after the debate, but stated that the president regularly undergoes annual physicals whose reports are released.

Following the meeting, several governors publicly endorsed Biden despite being considered top candidates to replace him if he were to withdraw from the race. Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer tweeted, "@JoeBiden is our nominee. He is in it to win it and I support him."

New York Governor Kathy Hochul confirmed that all the governors present during the discussion expressed their support for Biden. However, Politico claims that at least two staff members appeared unimpressed with Biden's future, suggesting some skepticism among his own team.

These recent developments highlight the ongoing scrutiny surrounding President Biden's health and his ability to effectively lead as he seeks re-election. As the race for the White House heats up, it remains to be seen how Biden's health will impact his campaign moving forward.
