Police in Santa Monica are currently investigating a series of unprovoked attacks that occurred just a few feet from the popular Third Street Promenade. The incidents took place in the 1500 block of 4th Street, near parking structure No. 7.

Authorities responded to a report of a stabbing and upon arrival, discovered two individuals with stab wounds, along with a third victim who had been assaulted. The police immediately administered CPR on one of the injured individuals. Unfortunately, the condition of the victims at the time of discovery was not disclosed.

A representative from the Santa Monica Police Department was not immediately available for comment on the ongoing investigation into the incidents. However, the police have deemed these attacks as random and unprovoked.

In a separate but related incident, the Los Angeles Police Department has arrested a homeless man suspected of assaulting two children in Santa Monica and Venice. The suspect, identified as 29-year-old Larry Ameyal Cedeno, was taken into custody by officers. Court documents revealed that Cedeno was already on probation after being charged with attempted grand theft of a car on May 9.

Cedeno is currently being held at the Santa Monica jail pending arraignment and the official filing of charges. Authorities urge anyone with information related to these incidents to contact Detective George Burciaga at George.Burciaga@santamonica.gov. Alternatively, the watch commander, who can be reached 24 hours a day, can be contacted at (310) 458-8427.

The investigation into the multiple assaults and stabbings near Santa Monica's Third Street Promenade is still ongoing, and authorities are determined to uncover the motive behind these disturbing incidents.
