In a statement released on Saturday, the military wing of Hamas, known as Al-Qassam Brigades, announced that they had successfully killed 15 Israeli soldiers in the southern Gaza Strip near Rafah.

According to the statement, the attack occurred when a Qassam group targeted a house where a large number of Israeli soldiers were fortified. The group used a Ra'adiyah (thunder) anti-personnel explosive device, which resulted in the deaths of the soldiers. Following the explosion, Al-Qassam fighters stormed the house and engaged in close combat with the remaining soldiers, using light machine guns and hand grenades in the Al-Tannour neighborhood, located east of Rafah.

Additionally, Al-Qassam Brigades claimed that they launched a SAM-7 missile at an Apache helicopter in the northern Gaza Strip, specifically near the Jabaliya refugee camp. The video statement from the group's military spokesman, Abu Obeida, asserted that over the course of 10 days, they had successfully targeted more than 100 Israeli military vehicles in various locations, including Jabaliya, Zaytoun, and Rafah.

Al-Qassam Brigades recently broadcasted footage that showcased their operations against the Israeli army. One of the scenes revealed a sniper attack on an Israeli soldier on the front lines, east of Jabaliya. The video showed three Israeli soldiers installing equipment on a building's rooftop before one of them was targeted and fell. The other two soldiers hastily retreated from the scene.

As the conflict between Israel and Palestine continues, Israel is currently facing charges of genocide against Palestinians before the International Court of Justice. The devastating war on Gaza, which commenced on October 7, has resulted in an alarming death toll. According to Gaza's Ministry of Health, 35,303 Palestinians have been killed, and 79,261 wounded. Additionally, a significant number of people, approximately 7,000, are still unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of destroyed homes throughout the Gaza Strip. Numerous international organizations and Palestinian sources assert that women and children make up the majority of the casualties.

The Israeli aggression has also led to severe consequences, including an acute famine predominantly affecting northern Gaza, resulting in the deaths of numerous Palestinians, notably children. Moreover, nearly two million individuals have been forcefully displaced from various parts of the Gaza Strip, with most seeking refuge in the densely populated city of Rafah near the Egyptian border. This displacement marks Palestine's largest mass exodus since the Nakba in 1948.

According to Israeli media reports, 1,200 soldiers and civilians were killed during the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation that took place on October 7. Some reports suggest that a significant portion of the Israeli casualties were a result of 'friendly fire.'

The cycle of violence between Israel and Palestine continues to escalate, with both sides suffering devastating losses. The international community remains concerned about the humanitarian crisis unfolding in Gaza and calls for an immediate ceasefire to prevent further bloodshed.
