**Ohio State Dominates Iowa 35-7, Impresses Recruits in Attendance**
The Ohio State Buckeyes put on an impressive show on Saturday, overwhelming the Iowa Hawkeyes with a 35-7 victory at Ohio Stadium. The win was not only a testament to the team's prowess but also served as a highlight for the numerous top recruits who witnessed the game.
Ohio State led 7-0 at halftime but surged ahead in the third quarter with a 21-0 run, seizing control of the game in front of 105,135 fans on a warm 80-degree day. The Buckeyes, now 5-0 overall and 2-0 in Big Ten play, are gearing up for their inaugural Big Ten game against the sixth-ranked Oregon Ducks, who are also unbeaten this season.
Buckeyes' quarterback Will Howard had a mixed start, throwing an interception in the second quarter. However, he redeemed himself in the third quarter with a 53-yard pass to freshman Jeremiah Smith and another one-handed touchdown grab, pushing the score to 14-0. OSU's defensive end Jack Sawyer forced a fumble from Iowa's quarterback Cade McNamara, leading to a 4-yard touchdown run by Howard, elevating the score to 21-0.
The momentum continued as OSU cornerback Davison Igbinosun intercepted a pass from McNamara, setting up a 15-yard touchdown pass from Howard to Emeka Egbuka and closing the third quarter at 28-0. Howard finished the game with 21 completions of 25 attempts, totaling 209 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception. He also added a rushing touchdown.
Running backs Quinshon Judkins and TreVeyon Henderson impressed, with Judkins carrying the ball 13 times for 78 yards and Henderson adding 61 yards on 11 attempts. Despite Iowa's strong rushing defense, which had been allowing only 62.0 yards per game, OSU managed to rack up 203 rushing yards.
Jeremiah Smith recorded four catches for 89 yards and a touchdown, while Emeka Egbuka tied his career high with nine catches for 71 yards and set a personal best with three touchdown grabs. Iowa’s Kaleb Johnson, who had been averaging 171.3 rushing yards per game, was held to 86 yards and a late touchdown on 15 carries.
Cade McNamara, a former Michigan quarterback, completed 14 of 20 passes for 90 yards with one interception. Ohio State's defensive effort was stellar, led by Sonny Styles with seven tackles and Cody Simon with six. The team also accumulated four sacks, with Sawyer recording 1.5 sacks and a forced fumble.
