The ODNI Office of Strategic Communications has released guidelines for managing inquiries from the public and the media. In order to streamline communication and provide efficient responses, the office requests individuals to review the official ODNI website at www.dni.gov before reaching out.

If the information needed is already available on the website, there may be no need to contact ODNI directly. However, for questions, comments, or suggestions, individuals are invited to send their correspondence to the Director of National Intelligence's office.

For employment verification inquiries, ODNI Human Resources can provide assistance. Mortgage companies, creditors, or potential employers who require employee verification can submit their requests by fax or mail. It is important to note that ODNI does not offer verbal responses and does not provide detailed pay information, such as overtime, bonuses, and awards. Employer information will not be included in pay information provided.

To make an employment verification request via fax, individuals can send their requests to the provided fax number. ODNI urges individuals to allow three to five business days for processing of faxed requests. Meanwhile, those who prefer to mail their employment verification requests can send them to the designated mailing address and should allow ten business days for processing.

As per the guidelines issued under Title 50 U.S.C.A. Section 3033, the Inspector General of the Intelligence Community (IC IG) plays a crucial role in conducting independent and objective audits, investigations, inspections, and reviews within the Intelligence Community. The purpose of these activities is to promote economy, efficiency, effectiveness, and integration across the Intelligence Community. Individuals with questions or comments regarding the oversight of the Intelligence Community are encouraged to contact the Office of the Intelligence Community Inspector General.
