**Trump Campaign Courts Female Voters: Talks With Nikki Haley Intensify**

In a strategic move to garner more support from female voters, former President Donald Trump's campaign is in discussions with former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley about joining him on the campaign trail. According to sources familiar with the negotiations, the discussions include a potential joint appearance at a Fox News town hall at the end of October. No events have been finalized as of yet.

Having previously teamed up with Republican women like Governors Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Kristi Noem for town halls, Trump's campaign recognizes that Haley might attract a different segment of the electorate. "The gender gap is real," a source close to Trump remarked, emphasizing Haley's appeal to women who have reservations about Trump. Another GOP operative noted that Republican candidates, including Trump, are struggling with female voters, and Haley’s involvement could mitigate this issue.

Senior advisers within Trump’s camp have acknowledged privately that while some women may not be fond of Trump’s personality or rhetoric, his policies could still win them over. This acknowledgment comes amid the campaign's efforts to highlight Haley's endorsement of Trump in key battleground states, including a billboard in the Milwaukee suburbs proclaiming "Endorsed by Nikki Haley."

Despite having been a primary rival of Trump, Haley endorsed him at the Republican National Convention in July and has supported him publicly, even making a robocall to voters on his behalf. In that call, Haley conceded that she doesn’t always see eye-to-eye with Trump but believes he is the better candidate. However, she has yet to physically appear on the campaign trail with him.

Discussions on Haley's role come after she criticized Trump during her primary campaign, positioning herself as a moderate alternative within the GOP. When queried in a recent Fox News interview about potentially involving more women like his wife Melania and daughter Ivanka to attract female voters, Trump dismissed the notion, stating, “I think I do very well with women.”

Trump also addressed the possibility of Haley campaigning for him, remarking, "I'll do what I have to do," while simultaneously highlighting his significant lead over her in the primary contests. He emphasized that while people suggest Haley should campaign for him, nobody advises him to ask Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to do the same.

Expressing a mix of criticism and fondness, Trump acknowledged, "I like Nikki... Nikki, I don't think should have done what she did, and that's fine that she did it." He underscored his primary victories over her, adding, "They say, 'Oh when is Nikki coming back in?' Nikki is in. Nikki is helping us already."

Recently, the Trump campaign has been actively seeking female voters, including a Fox News town hall with an all-female audience in Georgia. Additionally, the endorsement from Robert Kennedy Jr. is seen as a potential advantage, particularly among conservative-leaning mothers, though poll data on this front remains mixed.
